Seamless steel tube and galvanized steel tube connection method

Keywords: seamless steel tube connection, galvanized steel tube connection
Seamless tube (SMLS) and galvanized steel tube (GI Pipe) connection method:

1. Welding connection
Welding is a common method of connecting seamless steel tubes and galvanized steel tubes, usually using arc welding and gas welding. During the connection process, attention needs to be paid to corrosion issues, because welding can easily expose the inside of the steel pipe to the air, which accelerates the corrosion of the steel pipe. In order to solve this problem, measures need to be taken to protect the inside of the steel pipe from oxidative corrosion during the welding process.

Welded connections have the advantages of high connection strength, good sealing, and good impact resistance, but they require professional equipment, cumbersome processes, difficult operation, and cause considerable environmental pollution. Therefore, welded connections are usually used in situations that require high connection quality, such as high-pressure pipelines, petrochemical plants and other industrial fields.

2. Dental-oral connection
Thread connection is a common connection method. Its principle is to cut the threads on the surface of seamless steel tubes and galvanized steel tubes, and then connect them together through pipe fittings. The tooth-mouth connection has the advantages of stable connection, easy installation, and is detachable and easy to maintain. However, the dental-mouth connection has a certain impact on the strength of the pipe, and the sealing performance of the connection surface is not as good as other connection methods.

3. Socket connection
Socket connection is a method of connecting seamless steel tubes and galvanized steel tubes. The principle is to install an inward convex pipe fitting on one end of a section of steel pipe, and the other section of steel pipe has an convex shape. The two ends are sleeved together and used Tighten with bolts or buckles. Socket connections have the advantages of strong connection, convenience and speed, prevention of material loss, and reliable sealing. However, the installation requirements are relatively strict and the deviation must be controlled within a certain range.

4. Threaded connection
Threaded connection is the connection of steel pipes through threaded fit. When processing steel pipes, threads are machined on one end of the steel pipe, a corresponding threaded hole is machined on the other end, and then another threaded steel pipe or threaded fitting is screwed in. This connection method is easy to use, easy to operate, and has good sealing performance.

It should be noted that the connection methods of seamless steel tubes and galvanized steel tubes are not necessarily welded, because they have a variety of connection methods to choose from, such as threaded connections, socket connections, threaded connections, etc. Each connection method has its own characteristics. . When choosing different connection methods, specific decisions should be made based on actual conditions and needs. Welded steel pipes are not necessarily required.
