What are pipe fittings? What types are included?

Keywords: pipe fittings, pipe fittings types, pipe fittings processing and assembly
Pipe fittings refer to sealed connectors made of different materials for the connection, conversion and distribution of various pipeline systems. They can be seen in industrial production and civil buildings. It is an important part of the pipeline system and is mainly used to connect pipelines, making the pipeline project have reliability, stability and connection strength, and providing a better user experience.

Types of pipe fittings:

According to the different forms of pipe fittings, they can be divided into flat pipe fittings, curved pipe fittings, threaded pipe fittings and sealed pipe fittings.

1. Flat head pipe fittings

Flat head pipe fittings are the most common pipe fittings. They are mainly composed of two arc-shaped heads. This type of pipe fittings include direct joints, tee joints, four-way joints, etc., and are commonly used to cast pipe fittings. It is the most commonly used among the four types of pipe fittings mentioned above and is mainly used to cast various pipe fittings required for pipeline connections.

2. Curved head pipe fittings
The curved head pipe fittings convert the pipe fitting connection point into a curved head in the form of a right-angle head, so that the gravity design of the elbow pipe fittings can be realized. The biggest advantage of the curved head pipe fittings is that it can shorten the pipeline. Maintaining the strength of pipe fittings while also preventing pollution, curved pipe fittings are mainly suitable for pipe connections in chemical, petroleum, electric power, steam and other industries.

3. Threaded pipe fittings
Threaded pipe fittings refer to the connection in the form of threads at both ends of the pipe fitting, so that the pipe fitting can be connected to another pipe fitting or to a pipe. It has threaded joints, spiral pipe joints and seam welding joints. There are many types. Threaded pipe fittings can be customized according to actual needs, so that the pipe fittings can be more flexible during installation and can function as fasteners, thereby obtaining better use effects.

4. Sealing fittings
Sealed pipe fittings refer to a special sealing piece used to complete the connection of pipe fittings. It can achieve sealing and tightening of pipe fitting joints, which is more conducive to the water density and air density of pipe fittings, so that the pipe fittings can prevent silt There are many types of sealing pipe fittings, such as steel strand pipe fittings, rubber pipe fittings and plastic pipe fittings, etc. Different materials are selected according to actual needs to achieve better results.

Processing of pipe fittings:

Pipe fittings are closed parts characterized by holes. There are many processing methods. The most commonly used one is precision machining. It is a kind of precision machining and is used to process various metal pipe fittings. According to the different materials and sizes of pipe fittings, you can choose Various precision processing techniques, such as milling, stamping, turning, thread processing, etc., make the quality of pipe fittings more stable and the appearance more beautiful, which can meet the user's requirements for pipe fittings.

Assembly of pipe fittings:

The assembly of pipe fittings is also very important. Assembling pipe fittings requires high precision and strong solidity to ensure that the pipe fittings can be firmly connected together without affecting the flow of the pipe. The installation of pipe fittings is generally achieved mechanically, with loose nuts. Mode and clamp mode, different types of assembly can be carried out according to customer needs.
